Welcome to my favorites for September 2021!
Hello friends! Someone tell me where September went? It seems to fly. My son’s volleyball has taken over my life and I love every minute of it. It’s a lot of fun for me even though most of my time is in the car driving. But it feels so good to have a little normalcy back in our lives. It’s been a long time! I’m also happy to be back today to share with you some of my favorites from September even if I’m a few days late posting. I missed you! I hope you enjoy this little look at what’s been going on in my life lately and what I’m into right now.
SEPTEMBER 2021 NEWS
Currently FOOD:
In September I found a delicious snack to eat. If you follow a limited diet it is always fun to discover new foods. I think that’s why I love grocery shopping so much, the thrill of the hunt is so much fun, ha! These All in Bagel Cashews they are delicious! I bought them from IGA, my local grocery store here in Canada.
Now I want to tell you about something that even though I can’t eat it, my middle son has all the food allergies for sure. And he LOVES them! These Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen it is gluten, dairy and nut free and is great if you or your children have food allergies. Although my youngest son has no food allergies he loves them so there’s that :).
Current Reading:
I read three books in September, yay go me! But unfortunately only one of them was worth mentioning here. I only like to share books that I rate four or five. This one called Good Sister by Sally HepworthI rate it four out of five stars. It’s about two very different sisters and the secrets they share. It caught my attention which is not easy to do as I have a short attention span!
I am also reading this new Editing Your Home Magazine which I picked up at Walmart last month. I always say I’m not going to buy another one of these and when I see a new one in the store I just can’t help myself. All that eye candy planning is really hard for me to let go of!
NOW WATCHING:
Okay who else has been watching Lula Rich on Amazon Prime? It’s a 4 part series and I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t stop watching. It’s all about the rise and fall of the Lularoe company. The husband and wife team seemed clueless (or maybe they were really good actors!) about what was going on in their company and how indifferent they seemed to be to those working under them. It was very sad to hear about the many women who lost a lot of money to this company. But still in my opinion, Lularoe is still very active in the business.
I Like Now:
As always, every month I like to share with you three or four things that I’m currently loving. And today we will start with fall! I love fall and all the beautiful colors that come with it. The only thing you don’t like about fall is that it leads to winter, boo! We do family photos in September with colorful leaves all around. I don’t have those photos with the photographer yet but my son shot me in our yard after I got home. I think my face says it all. And we can’t forget to talk about the most perfect autumn dress. It takes off Grace and Laceone of my favorite outfits. The colors in the dress are very beautiful.
The following is mine USB Candle Lighter. The fact that it’s USB charging is amazing! I’ve been using one of those tall lighters with fuel inside and I can never get them to work. So much pain! I am happy to report that this is pain free. It’s easy to use at first try without having to click it a million times. Please tell me it wasn’t just me? We highly recommend this one!
Third is this cute little silicone pig for your kitchen. Why would you want a small silicone pig in your kitchen you ask? Why for your bacon grease of course! This solves the annoying problem we had of what to do with the fat after cooking the bacon. This little pig comes with a small strainer and holds the grease for you. Also great to have if you want to add a little dollop to your future cooking….mmmmmm…..bacon…..yummy :). Once it’s full (and firm) I just take it out. So I’m telling you!
Currently RUNNING:
Well one day I was in my kitchen and I didn’t find anything so what does that tell you? It tells me that I really need to go through each drawer and cabinet and take out the things I don’t use. Regular waste reduction and organization is very important for your analysis and peace of mind. It’s very frustrating when you can’t find what you need when you need it. What area of the house do you need to deal with the most right now?
Another thing I mentioned above is that the candle lighter came with a USB charger. It makes me so happy to have the most PERFECT system to store those types of cables and chargers. Isn’t my barrel just adorable? Learn more about my system HERE. I still love my beautiful wallpaper!
Cleaning up now:
Here are two different bags I took to our local store last month. Everything is usually clothes. The top picture is my stuff and the bottom picture is stuff from my youngest son’s closet because that kid never stops growing. But at least now she’s not fumbling around in her piles trying to find something that fits her. Now everything in her closet fits her which is a huge time saver!
What have you been cleaning this past month?
