Hello dears!
House of Sillage x Disney Complexion Duo it’s one of the most beautiful, yet luxurious and playful cheek products I’ve seen this year. House of Sillage makes its debut with the limited edition Disney collection we talked about a few weeks ago. I was excited to receive this Disney Complexion Duo as a gift so I’m happy to share my thoughts on the product with you.

House of Sillage Complexion Duo, Pink Bow Blush & Joyful Highlighter Review
House of Sillage Complexion Duo ($58.00 for 15 g/ 0.52 oz) is a new blush set that contains a highlighter in the shade Happy and Pink Bow Blush. Although House of Sillage is currently only available for purchase in the US I am happy to announce that it will be offering international shipping very soon.
I know many of you based in the UK and Europe have been asking me about this lovely House of Sillage Disney Collection so bear with me. The House of Sillage is currently working to arrange the right conditions for export so that we can get everything in their perfume and cosmetics collection.
I admit I was not over the moon with these shades when I opened the compact. At first glance they don’t look very different and they don’t look any different when changed. The situation changed completely when I applied them on my cheeks. They are the kind of colors that can be very elegant, but very business, office appropriate.
At least for me these colors and the makeup looks I’ve been creating for the past few weeks, exude beauty. I could see them worn by business women, entrepreneurs and any office related work. The highlighter is not overpowering and the blusher is universally flattering and suitable for a variety of skin tones. The kind of color you can wear every day. It’s not too playful or warm toned like coral and it’s not too barbie or girly style like blush pink.

PACKAGING
What more can I say! It is playfulness mixed with beauty and luxury. Although Mickey Mouse is shown on the top of the compact and his little head is highlighted in green, you still get that sense of luxury. The compact snaps shut, has a mirror inside and some weight on it. I like that the ingredients are shown in the background along with other details. They really did an amazing job with the packaging and even though we are talking about a Disney collection that is meant to be fun and playful you can still see and feel the luxurious style of the House of Sillage.
House of Sillage Complexion Duo Live Swatches
Here I applied the swatches in 2 layers on bare skin. LIVE WATCHES on Instagram but you can also see how the highlighter and blush look when blended on the skin.

Here I have done different swatches of a very soft but light yet natural looking highlighter on the skin. Very flattering, especially on fair and light skin.

Detailed Review of House of Sillage Complexion Duo
Pink Bow Blush it’s a medium pink bronze with medium undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff in one layer and rich pigmentation. It adheres well even to bare skin and blends easily. The color doesn’t show up well in one layer and I personally need to layer on my fair skin. This means that it can be used even with fair skin and blend it well so maybe even one or one and a half layers will be fine.
If you have medium skin you can build up the color and you will get a natural shade with a neutral undertone. I want to “blame” the beauty and natural effect of this blur in this low neutral tone. It makes the color look great on the skin and pairs well with highlighter.

The texture is very soft and silky and even if you press hard on the pan it is easy to pick up the product. I used a dense (artificial) brush and applied the product evenly. There are no problems during application and it lasts me about eight hours before it starts to fade nicely.
The Joy of Highlighting a light golden pink with warm undertones and a light satin finish. It had good color payoff in one coat that easily built up in two coats to full shine. A color that is easy to build but easy to spread and blend. Skin captures that radiant glow like a multi-faceted diamond thanks to powder highlighter technology.

The formula is not pressed at all in the pan but without being too powdery. It feels very soft, very creamy and smooth to the touch and works without falling out or stressing the pores and texture of the skin. The result is a shimmery sheen, not overpowering although you can see a very fine sheen in the texture.
It gives you a light but natural look that will look good on everyone, glowing from within, a fresh and beautiful glow. You can wear this kind of highlighter every day as it is not too strong. On me it wore well for about eight and a half hours without moving around or stressing the skin texture.

House of Sillage Complexion Duo Makeup Look
This is the first makeup look I created using House of Sillage x Disney Complexion Duo. You might say it’s too pink but I’d say it’s stylish and pretty and not too girly. Send me my video of this look on IGTV!
