Jennifer Ebert, design specialist and digital editor at Homes and Gardensnotes: ‘White and green together are one of the classic color combinations, and this gazebo look creates that indoor look in a stylish, outdoor way. The small trees that cover the outdoor gazebo contrast nicely, mostly because of the polished, Victorian style of the gazebo against the wild texture of the greenery.’
Apart from its visual appeal, the structure serves as a sheltered outdoor living room. As Ebert points out: ‘Chairs and a table under a gazebo provide the perfect place to relax outside. The space is very special because we don’t have to compromise on the design to give the interior a level of design on the outside.’
This look is poised to be the defining piece of outdoor furniture for the summer of 2026. ‘As the weather gets warmer, people are making spending time outside a priority, and the outdoor living room is the perfect place to do it. Placing the area under the gazebo ensures that it is accessible during all types of weather and helps protect the furniture. I can also see this becoming a popular option as a low-commitment way to set up an outdoor space, as it doesn’t require any serious construction and can be easily dismantled.’
Zooey and Jonathan reminded us all that the best homes are the ones that feel like they escape the noise. Their Victorian stage is more than just another passing trend of 2026; it represents the true evolution of slow, purposeful living, which we love in the warmer months.
