Author Bio
What started as a memorial to honor the memory of his beloved Sunny Girl turned into a passion to help rescue pets, especially cats. From cleaning kennels to finding a place to adopt Endangered cats, no job was too big or too small – they just knew it was important to helping rescue efforts, and needed to be done. Christopher’s dedication to saving cats led him to the Assistant Director of Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue, and from 2019-2021, he was the Foster/Adoption Manager at the New York branch of Louie’s Legacy, one of the largest human-based animal rescues in the country. Chris and his wife, Catherine, have fostered more than 300 cats and kittens, including those with special needs and bottles. After taking in traumatized cats into his home, Christopher gained valuable knowledge that helped them overcome their fears and behavioral challenges.
Currently, Christopher lives under the rule of twenty-four cats, all of which the doors of Hotel Mancuso are still open. Throughout the years of faithful service, Christopher has worked his way up the Cat World ladder, starting at the humble position of Can-Opener, and eventually earning the honor of being a Trusted Rescue Worker. Recently, he was anointed as the “meowthpiece” of the felion gospel by the conclave of Overlords. Now, Christopher is on a mission to spread the good word to cat acolytes and the heathen masses through his book. After mentoring dozens of new cat breeders and providing guidance to foster homes, Christopher opens his home and heart to you.
