A great vacation doesn’t really end when your photos are in order. Are you back to reminisce about your summer vacations? Here’s how to make the most of your vacation photos.

We’re always looking forward to the next thing…go, go, go! But revisiting where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and who you’ve been with allows you to relive past journeys all over again. Take the trip once, and enjoy it again and again.
My kid pulled our photo albums off the shelf last week. He looked a few years ago, seeing his youth in our journey. I was able to prove that we did things that he doesn’t remember. He just talked about planning another trip. If you have children or grandchildren, you know that hearing them say they want to spend time with you can be the most precious sound in the world. Photo albums can help you find more of that.
Memory is weak and infallible. Pictures help replay those memories. Every time you see the pictures, the memories become stronger. This is especially important for children.
Don’t let your favorite experiences and memories die on your camera.
Take Better Travel Photos with 4 Simple Tips
Get into the picture.
Focus on people, not places.
Look for a good background: color, light.
Get closer. Then come closer.

3 Tips for Making Great Travel Photos During Your Trip
Update your vacation photos every day while you’re on vacation.
Get rid of duds quickly.
On the last day of vacation, on the plane or drive home, add all the photos to an album so you can find them again. In Apple Photos and Google Photos, add them to a digital album labeled “YYYY-MM Locations” where Y=year date, M=month date, and the location can be France, Paris, or “Paris France”. Add enough information to make it easy to find later. You can do this on your phone! (Adding an album doesn’t move them, and it doesn’t make a copy. It just arranges them into a group.)
If you only use a PC filing system, you will literally move it to a folder. But we recommend using Mylio folders instead, for all the fun tools to easily organize them with face tags, date, and other things your PC can’t do for you.

Edit Vacation Photos and Enjoy them in 3 Easy Steps
Keep an image of making a place, not a bunch of them. Keep one or two photos of the Eiffel Tower skyline, not a dozen. Years from now, you will cherish the faces of the people you were with, not the memories you saw.
Editing important photos for exposure, cropping, and color, if needed. Just 10 seconds per photo can make each one better.
Think of your photos as a printed album. Better yet, turn them into a printed album. Whether you’re starting small or making it into a large coffee table book, turning the pages is a completely different experience than seeing them on your phone.

Profile tip for photo editing
If home editing seems too boring, promise yourself 15 minutes of photo fun after you do 15 minutes of editing at home.
