Jewelry I can’t take off…
I’ve always loved jewelry, but in the last year or two I’ve really evolved with my style, my everyday favorites and what I don’t pull off. They are dressers, polishers and have the ability to bring balance back to a look that feels a bit edgy. I’ve realized that for me I like to mix chunkier, sculpted pieces with simple everyday pieces, and things like my rings and bracelets that stay put no matter what. So here is what my jewelry closet looks like…
MICHELA
I have a few more necklaces than I’ll list here, but right now I’m only changing between two. I’m wearing the Mejuri Curb Chain Necklace* (ad – gifted) – which I would say is probably the top jewelery pick of the bunch – or i Amanga Studios Elly Necklace*. Both are completely opposite ends of the spectrum and add a different flavor to any outfit I wear. The Mejuri I’m leaving, I even changed it to Lie Studios since that’s only a daytime costume piece. But there really aren’t many decisions going on here – either one or the other.
EARRINGS
Ok here’s where I play a bit. I’ll start with the simple one first. My everyday earring is a style from Mejuri that is now discontinued but very similar to theirs Easy Medium Hobs*. Just a simple hoop, nothing too crazy but I can sleep and shower in them and sometimes take them out to swap them for something brighter. I just bought Mejuri Sculptural Hoops* and they’re really cute – these two together can be a soft/bright capsule earring. Most of the bold earrings I wear though are from Lie Studios and I usually switch between their style of drop earrings, Julie* or very large Camille Studs* (ad – given). You would see me wearing both of these styles many times as they are what I use early in the morning to add polish to my outfit.
BUCKLES
I don’t really mix my bracelets, mostly because my Apple Watch takes up a lot of real estate on my arm. So I just wear mine Mejuri Round Box Chain Bracelet* (ad – given), too A bracelet of time* (ad – given). The latter is a bit chunkier and the former daintier and I never take them off, I only change them when I’m at an event and want to leave my wrists bare. One day I would like to add i Amanga Studios Elly Isongo* in my collection – on my shopping list!
THE RINGS
I almost forgot to add this section! I NEVER take these off, so they don’t register properly. They are just a part of me – literally – some I can’t get rid of! My engagement ring and wedding ring were from a local shop in Brighton (I think we got engaged about nine years ago and I still love my ring, so simple – Mark did a great job!). Then I wear my index finger on my left hand, a lot an old black gem ring that Mejuri no longer even has (i Solitary Diamond Ring* is the same), and theirs Diamonds Line Ring* (ad – given) is stacked. With the index finger I wear it Mejuri Twist Ring* (ad – gifted) that I have had for YEARS, on my middle finger 2mm Smooth band* and on my ring finger on my right a Claire Kinder’s ring which I took when we went to visit Shop Anomie in San Francisco.
