Oceania Cruises is a premier luxury cruise line known for its small, luxury ships, each carrying up to 1,250 guests. The line offers world-class cuisine and focused itineraries, visiting more than 600 ports in 100+ countries across seven continents.
With cruises ranging from 7 days to over 200 days, Oceania offers an expertly curated cruise experience. Headquartered in Miami, Oceania Cruises is part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., which also owns Norwegian Cruise Line and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
What Oceania does is a world away from the Carnival party cruise. These luxury yachts are seeing an age of 60+ years. Take a ride, enjoy a spa massage, participate in a wine tasting, or attend a fascinating talk with a guest speaker. End the day with a romantic dinner for two and lighten up the night with great music. Unique to Oceania are dynamic port excursions that include overnight cruises and extended evening port stays. So it’s not just about the cruise experience, but also about the destination.

Travel tip: A different way to see the 2026 solar eclipse
Oceania’s collection of once-in-a-lifetime cruises will give you the chance to experience the 2026 solar eclipse off the coast of Ireland, Iceland, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Before you read more, know that you won’t be able to experience the total eclipse – except for one ship – the Oceania Marina. So ask yourself if these boats are worth your time and money. For example, a 93% solar eclipse is not nearly as experienced as a total eclipse (100% total). A total solar eclipse creates a unique, often stunning spectacle with darkness and visible flames from the sun, while a partial eclipse provides rare, though still visible, daylight. And of course Mother Nature can play tricks and fill the sky with clouds (but in a 100% perfect environment it’s still amazing!).
Each of these itineraries will navigate the best locations within the eclipse’s path, maximizing ocean viewing conditions. On-board enrichment programs will enhance the eclipse with expert insights from an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including renowned astronomers and NASA ambassadors. During the eclipse itself, guests will be invited to enjoy a series of deck parties.
Oceania Marina: A 14-day cruise on a 100% complete itinerary – sailing on July 30, 2026 from Copenhagen to Reykjavik, and guests are invited to visit small ports including Invergordon, Scrabster, and Akureyri, and enjoy shore excursions ranging from visits to medieval castles and visits to ruined nature reserves. Viewing the lunar eclipse will take place from the harbor in Grundarfjordur, Iceland. On board, published astronomer, Dennis Mammana, will guide guests through the wonders and mysteries of the cosmos. From $6,549 per person.
Oceania Insignia: 12-day Sailing on Route 97% total – departs Reykjavik on August 3, 2026 (ends in London). This cruise takes in the best of the UK on the Icelandic side. Ports include picturesque Killybegs, Dingle, and Cork. Trips can take in lagoons, hiking in the Highlands to horseback riding in the snowfields. Astronomer and former NASA space shuttle applicant Dr. Jerry Krassner, known as the “Wizard of the Stars,” will be on board to share his expertise and guide budding astronomers through the eclipse. From $3,825 per person.
Oceania Vista: 15 Day Sailing on a 93.03% Total Route – from Belfast on August 12, 2026 to London via the British Isles and Baltic gems, including stops in Scrabster, Copenhagen, and Berlin. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit famous whiskey distilleries, visit landmarks, and explore real-life cities, highlighted by the spectacular solar eclipse. From $6,599 per person.
Oceania Sirena: 12-day Sailing 94% Complete – departing London on August 5, 2026, and ending in Barcelona, Spain, Sail along the Iberian Peninsula to explore beautiful ports like Ferrol, Oporto, and Almeria. Travelers will have a choice of one-of-a-kind beach adventures that include day trips, casual river cruises, and jungle biking adventures. A memorable part of the trip will be the view of the great solar eclipse as the ship departs from Lisbon. A guest speaker will be announced soon. From $3,400.
