Whether you’re going to the range, tackling a weekend DIY project, hunting, working on the farm, or just trying to look your best at the grocery store, finding the right pair of pants is a job in itself. Today, we’re taking a look at the Men’s First Tactical A2 Pant, a piece of gear that promises to bridge the gap between tactical use and look good in any setting.
The First Tactical A2 Pant is constructed from 6.4 ounces of A2 micro-canvas (67% polyester / 33% cotton). It’s simple yet incredibly rugged. These have become my go-to farm pants, and I find them comfortable and durable in the brush. They include two-way mechanical stretch and a 360-degree stretch waist panel. You can squat or ride in a truck without appreciable fear rip.

They come treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellent). Not a raincoat for your legs, but coffee spills and light rain beads right off the bat. I found it especially useful when working on tall grass that was still wet with the morning dew.

The pants are designed to stay in place with three-needle stitching in critical areas and seven-belt buckles that are reinforced with barbs. These are designed to withstand the weight of a heavy belt or EDC kit. I can carry my arm easily and comfortably throughout the day without sinking or worrying.

The A2 has an incredibly subtle 8-pocket design. The Discreet Cargo Pockets are spacious and include internal organization and a small zippered rain cover. Heavy Duty Pockets are a perfect fit for today’s large smartphones or a spare mag. The Clip Garage is a dedicated place next to handbags to slide your knife or clip torch. It keeps your gear accessible but tucked away so it doesn’t get in the way of everything you pass.
