The best home sales for Memorial Day
Blink Outdoor 4 security camera: $44
Blink’s 1080p wireless camera is one of the best starting points for all-purpose outdoor home security. The batteries last over a year, the Blink app is super easy to set up, and the camera comes with its own hub so you don’t need to buy any add-ons to make it work (unless you want to upgrade to local storage).
You’ll need a subscription to use cloud storage or Blink’s AI features, which start at $4 a month.
Blinking Video Doorbell: $30
Blink’s doorbell was already affordable, but this deal makes it one of the cheapest ways to keep an eye on your front door and any packages left there. It also uses Blink’s powerful battery technology, which can help batteries last up to two years, and the easy-to-use Blink app. Just remember that you’ll need a Sync Module hub to set up this doorbell, making it a great buy alongside Blink’s other products.
Arlo 2nd-Gen Video Doorbell: $50
Arlo’s doorbell is one of my favorites, both for its elegant design and its higher-than-usual 2K resolution, which brings better detail to your deck and yard. The Arlo app is great, offering automatic discovery locations and other useful settings. I chose the battery version of this deal because the cordless models are more versatile, but there is a corded option, too. Keep in mind that you’ll need an $8 Arlo subscription to enable key features, such as video storage.
Tapo P110M Smart Plug Mini, 4-pack: $30
The Tapo plug-in set is a great way to give smart features to plug-in devices around your home, allowing you to control and program them through an app. Since these plugs are fully compatible with Matter, they work easily with platforms like Alexa, Apple Home, or Google Home. The smaller size also helps ensure that they will fit into tighter spaces than other plugs.
Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th generation): $240
The Google thermostat is one of the most advanced and beautiful thermostats I’ve tested. It does everything from automatically adjusting temperatures based on your preferences to displaying outdoor weather animations. It even comes with a separate satellite sensor that you can place in areas where you want the thermostat to “watch” more carefully than others. Although this thermostat is usually more expensive, this contract makes it a good time to buy. Also, from my experience using eco modes and similar functions, the thermostat pays for itself within a few years.
Eufy is one of the best products if you’d like to avoid subscriptions and monthly fees to enable features. This camera supports local storage and has useful object detection without costing anything extra. The 2K resolution is also nice to see here, but what really stands out is the built-in solar panel, which helps keep the battery in this wireless camera.

How we pick smart home deals for Memorial Day
Many of us here at CNET have covered shopping events for over five years, including Black Friday, Big Day, Memorial Day and many other shopping events. We’ve succeeded in eliminating scams and superficial deals, so you only see the best offers from around the world.
We look for real discounts, quality reviews and time left on sale when choosing the smart home deals to show you. We have a team of dedicated experts who have tested thousands of smart home devices to make sure we bring you the best.
- Real discounts mean just that. We look at the product’s price history to make sure no brands are raising prices to make the discount seem bigger than it is.
- Quality reviews and testing are important for any product, but especially when it comes to smart devices used in your home. If you weren’t happy when it arrived, the discount wasn’t worth it.
- Remaining sales time is a big part of our evaluation process. If a deal appears to be only available for a limited time or only in stock, we’ll let you know in advance so you don’t come back later to find it’s no longer available.
