The supermodel shared a ‘hygge-happy’ photo from her Los Angeles home as the sun set below her balcony, creating a beautiful setting. This beauty translates well to gardens and patios beyond the Golden State, especially as we welcome the crisp breezes of spring or late-night chills of summer.

According to Harbor Lifestyle, Google searches for ‘fire pit’ have increased by 200%, proving the desire for stylish heating remains top of mind for those looking to host cool summer gatherings next season.
‘Getting together from the comfort of your own home can be great this year. Using a fire pit at your soiree allows you to keep the cool atmosphere alive without causing potential damage or creating safety hazards in your outdoor space’, comments CMO of Harbor Lifestyle Joel Garthwaite.
Besides the practical and aesthetic benefits, the designers explain that fire pits fit into the Hygge trend – an iconic Danish style that continues to influence both interior and exterior design. While we’ve prioritized enjoying our entertaining spaces in recent years, transforming outdoor rooms from breezy summer lounges to winter retreats extends the ‘Hygge experience’ outdoors. This change allows us to enjoy the terraces all year round, whether we are wrapped in blankets under the month of November or watching the first blooms of May.
‘In the fast-paced world we live in, people are longing for ways to slow down and relax, and the luxury trend provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life’, adds Brenna Ryan, design specialist at Victorian Plumbing. ‘The design style is heavily inspired by the Scandinavian ‘Hygge,’ a concept that roughly translates to a sense of comfort and content, enjoying the simple things in life.’
This complex source of heat and light can be achieved with a few key elements of fire pit design. Assess your location to determine if your outdoor track would benefit from a larger, sunken center without compromising safety. Alternatively, a compact model may be the perfect fit to provide that essential feeling of warmth and comfort. Whether it is big or small, recessed or raised, the fire pit provides the right ambiance at dusk that will attract visitors in 2026 like a flame.
