At the recent Dreme Next event in San Francisco, Dreme unveiled a wide range of new smart home products, but the company’s flagship robot vacuum remained one of the highlights of the event. The announcements focus on two major trends: extended variations of Dreme X60 platform and a new premium roller-mop robot called Aqua 20 Pro Roller Ultra. Together, these products represent Dreme’s continued focus on premium customization, advanced pumping systems, innovative cutting edge cleaning, and advanced cleaning technology.
Vacuum Wars attended the Dreme Next event after being invited by Dreme. However, Vacuum Wars does not accept sponsorships or free products, and we covered our own travel and accommodation expenses.
Dreme continues to expand the X60 Ecosystem
Dreme made it clear at the event that the X60 series remains essential to your advanced robot vacuum strategy. The company advertised Several upcoming models of the X60 it has advanced edge cleaning systems, advanced mop automation, high suction specifications, and improved mobility.
The announcements build on the success of the existing X60 platform, which currently tops the Vacuum Wars Top 20 Robot Vacuums rankings.

Dreme X60 Pro Ultra Complete Adds Long-Reaching Cleaning Weapons
One of the most notable announcements was the new Dreme X60 Pro Ultra Complete, which introduces what Dream calls Dual UltraExtend technology. This system allows both the side brush and mop assembly to extend further out than previous generations. According to Dreme, the side brush can grow up to 12 inches (12 cm), while the mop pad can extend up to 7.1 inches (18 cm).

Dreame has demonstrated technology that reaches into narrow spaces, behind doors, and hard edges where conventional robot vacuum designs tend to leave debris behind. Unlike most existing edge cleaning systems that extend only slightly into the body, the X60 implementation appears to be designed for greater accessibility.
The company emphasized that both the brush and mop systems can be expanded independently depending on the cleaning task.
X60 Pro Ultra Matrix Introduces Automatic Mop Replacement
Dremee also announced a concept model called X60 Pro Ultra Matrix. This version includes a mop replacement dock similar to the system previously shown on the Dreme Matrix 10 Ultra (See our review). The system allows the robot to automatically change mop pads during cleaning to reduce cross-contamination between rooms. For example, a robot can clean a kitchen using one set of mop pads, then return to the dock to change them before cleaning the bathroom.

While automatic mop washing and drying has become more common in advanced robot vacuums, automatic mop replacement remains rare. Dream appears to be positioning this feature as part of a broader plan towards low-maintenance systems that operate automatically and require minimal intervention.
Flagship specifications continue to rise
Dreme also announced that this variant is expected to appear until 42,000 Pascals of suction using Vormax technology. If released by those specifications, these would be among the highest suction rates currently announced for robotic penetration.
One of the main focuses of the X60 Pro Ultra Matrix was the crossing of the threshold. Dream said that might be able to clear thresholds up to 10 centimeters. Threshold management has become the most important battleground among advanced robotic vacuums as the products work to solve the most common limitations of the real-world category: switching between rooms with raised floors or tall bars.
Dreame presents the Aqua 20 Pro Roller Ultra
In addition to the X60 line, Dreme is also introducing a new robotic vacuum called Aqua 20 Pro Roller Ultra. Like the previous edition of this range, the Aqua 10 (see our review), the Aqua 20 uses a roller mop design. Aqua 20 however introduces steam cleaning technologyand according to Dreme, the robot can generate temperatures up to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (160 Celsius) to help loosen dirt during cleaning. The roller mop itself is also heated during operation.

This places the Aqua 20 among a growing class of advanced robotic cleaning machines that explore thermal cleaning systems rather than relying solely on room temperature water.
Hot Mop Washing Continues to Expand
The Aqua 20 dock also continues Dreme’s push into increasingly aggressive dock automation. Dreame said the base station can clean the mop using it boiling water-temperature, a feature that has become common across the company’s premium vacuum line.

Roller Mops Continue to Grow in Popularity
The Aqua 20 Pro Roller Ultra also shows a major trend developing in the robot vacuum industry. While dual-spinning pads have held the premium category for the past few years, many manufacturers are now experimenting with roller-style systems that continuously clean the mop surface during operation.
The advantage of roller mops is that they can process dirty water while maintaining contact with the floor, which can improve consistency during long cleaning sessions. At the same time, roller systems often involve different trade-offs related to carpet handling, dock complexity, and maintenance.
Dreme’s entry into this category suggests that the company sees roller mops as the most important way to clean robotic floors.

No Major Updates for Cyber Series
Although Dreme showed off both the Cyber 10 robotic-arm vacuum robot and the Cyber X stair climber during the event, the company did not provide significant updates about the release date or new functionality. Instead, Dreame’s main robot vacuum is focused on expanding the X60 ecosystem, introducing new premium mopping technology with the Aqua line, and the launch of the Dreme L60 robotic vacuum range, which we reported on at the time of their announcement.

What These Announcements Suggest About the Robotic Vacuum Market
The Dreme Next announcements highlighted a few broad trends currently shaping the advanced robotic vacuum market. Manufacturers are increasingly competing with automation, mobility, edge cleaning, and advanced painting systems rather than suction power alone. Features such as extending mop arms, automatic mop changes, thermal cleaning systems, and over-the-threshold capabilities suggest that advanced robotic vacuums continue to evolve into advanced maintenance systems.
At the same time, many of these technologies are likely to trickle down to mid-range models over time. We’re already seeing this trend in broader markets as features that were once limited to high-end robots are becoming more common in lower price points.
Final thoughts
Dreme used the Dreme Next event to strengthen its position in the ultra-premium robot vacuum category. The expanded X60 ecosystem focuses on self-service, edge cleaning, and on-the-go, while the Aqua 20 Pro Roller Ultra introduces Dreme’s new approach to mopping based on a heated roller.
If we buy and test any of these upcoming models from Dreme, we’ll publish full reviews and comparisons in the Robot Vacuum review section of this website. High-end models have been added to our Best Robot Vacuums list.
