The Lowdown
The LawnMaster 48V Max 3-in-1 Brushless 19″ Cordless Lawn Mower is perfect for the tech-savvy homeowner who wants a good-looking yard without the hassle of a gas station, oil change, smog, or Sunday-morning noise festival. It’s light, maneuverable, incredibly powerful, and no farm without a tractor. For a big yard, you might want to consider picking up an extra set of batteries but for a small lawn to go for medium and general urban lots, this mower is a very tough option.

If you’re like me, you probably have a complicated relationship with your lawn. You want it to look like a PGA golf course, but pulling the string until your shoulder makes a legitimate complaint, only to find out you’re out of gas, makes opening and painting it a green noise. Enter the LawnMaster 48V Max 3-in-1 Brushless 19″ Cordless Lawn Mower. It’s light, quiet, and basically the Tesla of turf. I’ve been putting it through its paces, and here’s the dirt, or rather the grass, why it might be your new favorite backyard gadget.
The heart of this mower is its brushless motor. For non-techies, “brushless” means that it runs more efficiently, runs cooler, and should last longer than a brushed motor. The LawnMaster rates the mower at up to 3,400 RPM, giving it enough muscle to cut that “I’ve been on vacation for two weeks and now the yard is a nature reserve” height of grass without breaking a sweat.

As you can see from the pictures, our lawn was out of control. After a terrible drought, we finally had a few weeks of rain, and the yard took it as permission to go to the beach. The mower had no problem navigating the long grass and weeds, which honestly surprised me a little. Battery-powered tools have come a long way from the old “it works, but only if you whisper encouragement” days.
The “48V Max” in the name comes from two 24V Max 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries working together. Because battery labels like to keep lawyers busy, the fine print says the maximum capacity of the original battery is 24 volts, and the voltage is 21.6 volts. In layman’s terms, you pop in the two included batteries and you get a cordless mower without gas, oil, fumes, or that old little engine hum that makes neighborhood dogs question their lifestyle choices.

LawnMaster rates the mower at 40 minutes of run time, though that number is based on the drain of an unloaded battery, so your actual run time will vary depending on the length of the grass, thickness, and how badly your yard decided to interview the forest documentary. In my experience, 40 minutes was about how long it took to mow each lawn, so we took turns. It also includes an automatic break, which isn’t the worst thing in the world when the sun is out and the grass is tall. So far, 40 minutes of clipping has worked pretty well for a full bag full of clips.
Speaking of the bag, the integrated collection bag holds 15 liters of grass clippings. That’s enough volume to be useful without turning the mower into a wheelbarrow full of clippings. You can wrap your clippings, set the mower to cover it, or use the side discharge, so you have three ways to handle whatever your lawn throws at you. It’s triple jeopardy, but on grass instead of Broadway.
My favorite “smart” feature is the iPower Technology Display. Right on the handle, there is an LED indicator that shows your battery level and cutting mode. It’s like having a dashboard for your lawnmower, which is absurd and useful in equal measure. The iPower system also automatically regulates power while mowing, helping to save energy and squeeze as much runtime as possible without batteries. Looking at the evergreen battery bars while zipping around the yard is more satisfying than checking the dipstick and wondering why everything smells like 1997.

The mower has a 19″ deck with an 18″ cutting width, which covers a good amount of walking space without making the mower feel bulky. The cutting length can be adjusted in six positions, from 1.4″ for that “I might go too far” close cut to 3.4″ for a healthy, green lawn. The adjustment lever is straightforward: move it to the back of the mower to raise the cutting length or to the front to lower it. No complicated mower yoga required.
Maneuverability is also a strong point. The LawnMaster weighs just 33 pounds, which is a light weight compared to most gas mowers. You can lift it with one hand, though I don’t officially recommend that unless you enjoy turning product reviews into emergency room papers. The mower rides on 6.7″ front wheels and large 9.3″ rear wheels, and it was easy to maneuver around lawns, edges, and rough spots where our yard was clearly trying to regain its independence.
Storage is another win. The push handles fold completely down, making the mower sturdy enough to fit into the corner of a garage or shed. If you’ve ever tried to store a lawnmower, gas can, oil, extension cords, or any mystery funnel that’s been sitting on the shelf since 2009, you’ll appreciate how clean and easy this setup feels.

Details at a glance:
-
Deck Width: 19″ (covers more space per pass)
-
Cutting Width: 18″
-
Height adjustment: 6 positions (from scalp-like 1.4″ to shiny 3.4″).
-
Weight: 33 pound breeze (You can lift this with one hand—try that with a gas mower)
-
Storage: The handles fold down completely, making it small enough to fit in a corner of the garage or on a large shelf.

The mower comes with a 48V brushless cordless mower, two 24V Max 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries, a 24V dual battery charger, a collection bag, and an owner’s manual. A dual-battery charger is more efficient because you can charge both batteries together, avoiding battery roulette and waiting for one to die before starting the other.
