Spaghetti Pizza Recipe ($10 Family Dinner Idea)

This recipe combines two classic favorites – spaghetti and pizza – into one dish! So you can’t go wrong and this! We’ve been eating this Spaghetti Pizza over and over since my kids were little, and it hasn’t lost its appeal. I use turkey pepperoni since we prefer to have less fat and, as a bonus, turkey pepperoni tends to be cheaper than regular. You can add more vegetables and toppings to customize this recipe to your family’s liking, but we like it just the way it is – simple and basic. Spaghetti Pizza freezes well too!

I buy pasta when it’s free or almost free (including sales and discounts), and it’s such a great staple to stock up on seafood!

I served this Spaghetti Pizza on discounted French bread (from the discount cart behind Walmart) since it was baseball game night and I was short on time, but I usually serve it with some kind of tossed salad. (Caesar is my favorite, but I can’t bring my family in with any kind of dressing, unfortunately) or steamed vegetables instead.

2. While the Spaghetti Pizza is baking, slice the French bread (I don’t cut it all the way because it makes it easier to wrap the bread in foil). Mix softened butter with 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.

3. Spread butter on both sides of the slice of bread and wrap the bread in aluminum foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is crispy. (but the inside is still soft and delicious!). Let the Spaghetti Pizza sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it.
