The FIFA World Cup is one of those rare sporting events that brings everyone together. My uncle, who shows interest in football, still comes into our house after four years with a beer because he wants to join the game. The LEGO Group joins Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, and Vinícius Júnior to celebrate the spirit of the game with children and families around the world—because everyone wants a piece of it. Say hello to LEGO Soccer: Everyone Wants a Piece Collection.
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 wrapped up and soccer’s popularity at an all-time high, fans can now build their favorite players using new LEGO Editions sets that highlight four of the stadium’s icons. Here’s what you need to know.
Everyone Wants a Piece campaign
The biggest names in soccer—Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Júnior—lead LEGO’s Everybody Wants a Piece campaign, which highlights a series of miniature soccer figures set for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Each building shares the same style. Take the LEGO Editions Cristiano Ronaldo – Football Highlights (43012) set as an example. The base bears the name of Real Madrid’s top goalscorer and features Portugal’s national colors and CR7 in bold.

LEGO Versions Cristiano Ronaldo – Football Highlights (43012)
The 490-piece building is designed for boys, girls and sports fans ages 10 and up.
A Cristiano Ronaldo minifigure adds life to the set, and a collectible plaque features his stats and signature. The 490-piece model maintains a compact form at 8″ W x 6.5″ D x 4.5″ H, so it sits on a desk, shelf, or nightstand without taking up space.
Each piece in the Everybody Wants a Piece series works as a fun sports gift for birthdays or special days. I don’t support any of these players as a Chelsea fan, but as someone who enjoys the game, I’d still be happy to get any of these sets.

If you are planning to choose one for the football fan, consider the age. Younger fans may lean towards Vinícius Júnior or Kylian Mbappé’s sets. Older fans and Gen Z may connect more with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. Gen Z grew up watching Messi and Ronaldo at their peak, when they reached a level that few could match. Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé show great talent, but they are still chasing that same level.
A LEGO ad
In the Everybody Wants A Piece ad, the four stars gather around a black table with a brick World Cup trophy in the center. As it turns, each player leans in and tries to place their minifigure on top to claim the prize. On Instagram, the creators remixed the clip and replaced the actors with world leaders to create political change—but that move kills the fun.

LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup Official Trophy (43020)
The LEGO Group has also unveiled the LEGO Editions FIFA World Cup Official Trophy (43020). It consists of 2,842 pieces and includes a hidden opening for a pull tab on the top globe.
Inside, you’ll find the 2026 World Cup logo and a special minifigure holding a small FIFA World Cup trophy, so fans can see themselves as champions. A printed plaque under the base lists every World Cup winner since 1974, adding to the collection and touch of history.
For me, the World Cup has more weight than a couple of English Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles. Bringing the trophy home to your country and being a national hero is on another level. Nothing beats that. Even if Cristiano Ronaldo says, “I would say it is not a dream for me to win the World Cup,” I feel that he still wants that trophy deep in his heart. Every fan of Cristiano Ronaldo has one dream—to see him lift the FIFA world cup. That shows what it means, and the LEGO Editions FIFA World Trophy set gives you a little taste of that feeling.
Before you leave
LEGO Soccer: Everybody Wants a Piece Collection drew me to the FIFA World Cup 2026 in an unexpected way. I love that each set turns football icons into something I can build and display at home. Seeing players like Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappé, and Vinícius Jr. being in the form of bricks makes every campaign feel personal and fun. It also reminds me why I enjoy the game so much in the first place, beyond the games and the opponents. I can see myself picking any of these pieces up and putting them on my desk like a little piece of soccer history.
