Let’s get into the details
Order process
The first step to using Nike By You is choosing your colors. This is done on the Nike website.
There are many options to choose from, and these vary depending on the specific shoe you are ordering.
With the Nike Free Metcon 6 you can change:
- Above
- A collar
- Flywire / Toe Swoosh
- Wires
- Sorry
- Midsole Accent (we chose “Cheetah” but there are also Solid, Metallic, and Stripes)
- Midsole Swoosh
- Outsole
- Personalization (we didn’t do this. You’re limited to two characters on this shoe. That’s too short.)
The web page will show you a computer rendering of what the shoe will look like. Kind of.
As you can see from the examples above, it represents what you will receive, but not the actual image.
These shoes cost $30 more than the regular ones. And it took about 3 weeks for them to arrive.
But, I think that’s great!
As you can see, the finished product looks great.
The build quality is indistinguishable from regular pairs I own.

All in all, the wife is happy with these shoes, and we would do them again.
