Happy 2025/Maui

Best wishes for 2025! I hope you all had a great holiday! We had a great Christmas and then spent the next week in Maui. It was great and we didn’t want to leave! I’m back home now and we’re getting ready for Kole’s school practice that starts today. My girls are home all week so I’m spending a lot of time with them before they go back to college!

Happy 2025/Maui

I usually plan some activities in advance when we visit Hawaii, but this year I made 3 dinner reservations for the week and that was it! Ha. I knew we all just needed some time off. Kenny had a busy year at work, the girls had a stressful month with finals and December is never ending for mom.. we were exhausted! It was a perfect week. It’s the best kind of vacation where you can’t remember what day or time it is and no one really cares. 🙂

Not a bad view from Kole’s bed!

{Who is the Most Likely..}

We had so much fun with this game and played it almost every night after dinner.

Happy 2025/Maui

These are some of the cards my lovely family thinks are me. Are you completely lost but having a great time? My friends would agree. Is it an alphabet to put spices in free time? The best way to have fun. Is there a guy for that? What needs to be done. Caught in a revolving door? It happens all the time. Revelations about life that lead to tears? Maybe a few. IT’S ALWAYS REALLY COLD.

Happy 2025/Maui

I’m a little embarrassed to admit some of these but apparently I’m “going to insta it.” Ha. The best part about the cards is that they bring up all kinds of funny family jokes/memories when you try to decide who gets each card so you just end up laughing at the game.

Happy 2025/Maui

We spent most of our time snorkeling/swimming in the sea, sitting by the pool, playing games, watching movies..

and cold and turtles. 🙂

Happy 2025/Maui

I could watch them for hours. This young man was very persistent.

Happy 2025/Maui

We watched him for 20 minutes on his way to the water. When the tide finally brought him in and his little head came out of the water before he really took off we all cheered. It’s a small life isn’t it? Don’t give up. The slow and steady wins the race. 🙂

Happy 2025/Maui

I don’t set New Year’s Resolutions very much anymore. I gave up on that years ago when I kept writing “cook 3 times a week” over and over again and realized that no matter how many times I wrote it down it just wasn’t going to happen. But I like to take time to think about the things I want to prioritize and work on another great new year ahead of me! I am determined to keep my closet clean! This is the year. 🙂

Happy 2025/Maui

These are the things I am trying to do without this year. Clutter always does it for me but some things are areas I can definitely improve! I was writing these last night while watching a movie with an ad and I showed them to him “are these dumb? do I dare share them? Wait.. I have more in Column than Out column and no straight line. I need to rewrite these..” The ad said “hello to overthinking and perfectionism..”

It is clear that there is work I have to do in 2025 so that those goals do not end up being fired with those who cook.

If you love thinking about areas of life that you will grow and improve each year like I did this is a favorite January printable! You can download it for free HERE. I will also fill it out because it helps me a lot to think about how I want to grow in each of these areas that are important to me.

Happy 2025/Maui

This is another printable that I love when I’m working on a habit or two that I want to change! There’s something about checking each day you can save that really motivates me!

{Drawer dividers/ALL my organizing favorites}

Who is ready to plan with me this month? And every other month? 🙂 I’m so excited to tackle my house this year! I know I say I enjoy planning every year, but this year I feel ready to give away so many things in my home. Now that my girls are out and Kole is a little older I feel like I need to redo a lot of our spaces. There is a lot at home that I hold on to that we no longer need. The needs have changed and it’s time! I was so upset that I did this kind of cleaning right after my girls were out, but now I feel okay. LESS IS MORE and I’m looking forward not back! It’s going to be a party. 🙂

If you feel like I’m there and ready to tackle ALL your posts I’ve started a folder for ALL my favorites to organize HERE. But definitely do the decluttering first before you start ordering beautiful bins! Rookie makes the mistake of ordering barrels first. 😉

Happy 2025/Maui

If it helps you write down exactly what needs to be done and focus on one area each week these printable Planners are very helpful!

Happy 2025/Maui

My 15 minute print is the most used!

Happy 2025/Maui

15 minutes a day really adds up and I’m always amazed at how much I can get done each week with just a little bit here and there.

Happy 2025/Maui

There is also a lot I want to do to fix up my home this year. I haven’t even started getting Christmas down yet.. waiting to start when my girls get back! But I already have some fun ideas on how to warm things up this winter and there are a few things I want to change/update here. I’m excited to get started!

Happy 2025/MauiThis is a fun printable to fill out to keep me focused on home projects!

Happy 2025/Maui

And this is my list of any projects I use over and over again! You can download all my printables HERE. I hope they help you stay focused as they always have!

Coming up with a few more photos on my phone from Maui..

Happy 2025/Maui

I just didn’t get a good photo with Kenny on this trip! But my girls love this.. they always take pictures of us from behind when we are holding hands. I love that they know their parents love each other.

Happy 2025/Maui

Goodbye for now Maui! Thanks for the memories.

Happy 2025/Maui

Love this and couldn’t agree more. Happy New Year! There are many good things in the store.

And hopefully there are a few revelations about life that lead to tears.

😉
