3. $100 Garmin discount on Mini 2 access
If you’ve been following me, you’ve heard me talk about Garmin Mini 2. I think it is a MUST for anyone who likes to get out in the backcountry where there is no cell service. It can be used to send and receive texts or call for help in an emergency. I even used it for roadside assistance when my Sprinter Van battery died outside of Sun Valley one winter.

I’m a big fan of Oboz Footwear, so I’m excited to see that all Oboz models are 25% off. during the REI Winter Sale (both men’s and women’s). I really like the Katabatic for quick and easy summer hiking and the Insulated Bridger for winter. If you need help deciding which Oboz model is right for you, check out this post on the Oboz models I use the most.

I have two outdoor research jackets that I really like too all Outdoor Research outerwear is 25% off. (except ski jackets) in REI’s winter sale. Check out these two:

6) 25% off all Snow Breakers
I’m a big fan of Icebreaker. They make my all-time merino wool base layers for winter hiking and skiing, and I have a few of their soft and comfortable sweaters. However, Icebreaker clothing tends to be expensive, so I always jump at the chance to pick up a new piece when it’s on sale. During the REI Winter Sale, all Icebreaker clothing is 25% off.. If you’re new to Icebreaker, I recommend starting with the Oasis 200 crew top (women’s)(men’s) and the Oasis 200 Thermal leggings (women’s)(men’s).

7) 25% off all Rumpl Blankets
Rumpl makes amazing blankets. I’ve been using a 2-person, real puffy as my comforter in my Sprinter Van for years. They are very durable (stood up to my 2 dogs), move easily, and can be thrown in the washing machine when they need to be refreshed. Rumpl pajamas come in a variety of sizes and printsall 25% off.

8) 25% off NEMO Tensor Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad
If you’ve had a hard time finding a comfortable sleeping bag for backpacking, I encourage you to give it a try NEMO Tensor Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Padcurrently 25% off. It’s 3.5 inches thick, and has a valve that lets you adjust the amount of air inside to get the right fit. With an R value of 5.4, you can count on this even in the colder months. And on top of that, it’s incredibly easy to blow up because of the sack of inflation that comes with it.

If you get nervous when walking on snow in the winter, you should get a pair Kahtoola Microspikes which is 20% off during the REI Winter Sale. When I feel snow on the trail, I just put them on over my boots, and instantly I feel much safer and more confident. When buying them, double check the measurements as you’ll want to get a size larger if you’re wearing them over a lot of winter boots.

10) 25% off all Cotopaxi Clothing and Accessories
I have a few Cotopaxi pieces that I really like, too all Cotopaxi clothing it’s 25% off during the sale. I want to give a special shout out to the Cotopaxi Tech 5-Panel Hat. I got this hat last summer, and it has become a staple. It’s so light, I can’t see that I’m wearing it, and the hem doesn’t block my vision when I’m walking. It is very breathable, even in extreme weather conditions.

11) 25% off all Biolite Lighting
If you’re looking for a way to add ambiance to your campsite, all Biolite lamps 25% off. They make compact, portable headlamps, and I really like the Biolite 325 Headlamp. I’m actually not sure why this lamp doesn’t get better reviews, because I’ve been using it for years with no problems. I love how easy it is to adjust the strap, it’s very light, and the charge easily takes a 4 night backpacking trip as long as you don’t use it at high altitude.

12) 20% off Strider Balance Bikes
If you have a little tyke like me, my son Herbie who is almost 2, loves to drive around in his car. Strider Balance Bikewhich is a 20% discount.
