Hello hello! So much for today’s post! I get so excited about a good before and after and I have just that today! I have been ordering planning and home decor products from Wayfair for years so when they contacted my post partner I knew exactly what I wanted to do! (They are doing 5 day deals right now!) I don’t know if I ever had a picture of this full linen closet before or not!? I had a custom built in the hallway leading to our master bedroom when we built our home. It’s opposite our master bathroom which is why I added a mirror to the front closet for quick clothes checks on my way out the door!

If you didn’t know this place before, close the bathroom door behind me and zoom in on the picture now you can see! Ha. It’s the mirror I use for my fashion selfies. What I know I didn’t what is shown is that you are inside this closet.

For a good reason! It has held many things over the years and has always been a riot! I never take the time to edit it and it’s usually filled with all kinds of extra stuff. I took this photo after taking out the linens.. they usually get a lot fuller than this! I wanted to make it a real linen closet that holds sheets and towels for years. I started going through the blankets to find things the girls would take to college and realized that our sheets were strewn all over the house and it was time to do something with this space and get it together!
Are you ready to see the next and hear the angels? 🙂

I mean.. can you believe it’s the same closet!? Even Kenny (who totally ignores my ongoing editing here) stopped by and said “Wow! I’ve never seen this cabin look so beautiful!” I’m so glad you saw it and I’m so excited to do this project! To be honest the reason I put it off for so long was because it always felt like it would be A LOT OF WORK. And I won’t lie.. it took me a good two days. But it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! First I took everything out and went to my bedroom.. things were everywhere but it was nice to look in the closet with a clean slate! Then I cleaned all the shelves.

Next I started collecting all our sheets! These are some of them. I spread out a blanket in the family room and threw them all in a big pile and turned on the movie and started sorting and folding. (*Great planning tip – make your project fun by doing what you can in front of the TV. Add popcorn for best results.) Do reindeer sheets make anyone else’s Christmas cheer!? Just me? Ok.. go ahead. 🙂

Then join the side panels and zip.

Then fold up and down the top and velcro!

This is the stuff dreams are made of. 🙂 Seriously though.. how clever! I have written all my sheets and they are together in sets now.

LOVE these planners and I love black! They are good quality and were easy to use. You can store all kinds of linens inside it. The bottom line is all my seasonal bedding. I think I’ll order one set while they’re still on sale because I can fit a few more of these shelves and use more in Kole’s room. LOVE THEM! After organizing my sheets I went through the things and made a pile to donate and put the things I wanted to keep in this space in baskets and bins.

I mentioned these at the weekend. A longtime favorite that I have in many cabinets in my home! I love how deep they are in the wardrobes and cupboards. They hold up very well and always look good.

I put the extra blankets we use in our bedroom upstairs..

Then I used these with my white hand towels. Love these dividers! They are perfect for separating and organizing clothes, towels, bags, whatever you need on a closet shelf!

The other side.. same setup. 🙂

I can’t tell you how amazing this feels! The best part is the 4 rattan baskets inside are empty! I’m going to use those to stock up on little Christmas gifts for my team. I will label each basket with their name and have a place to hide things (don’t say!). 🙂 I’m so happy to have this closet organized and more functional for our family! I had so much stuff in this room that we don’t use it anymore. It felt good to donate and make room for what we use! Organizing my sheets this way saves a lot of space so I can use the shelves for other things. Feeling good about this! The angels agree and so does my husband.
I can’t ask for much better than that.
🙂
Below are a few more fall planning and decorating favorites from Wayfair!
(I ordered the cute little and this pumpkin board too!)
