You know when you place an online order and it arrives and you LOVE EVERYTHING. This blog post right here is one of those times. I literally spent, HOURS on NET-A-PORTER website* making three outfits that I felt most drawn to and putting in a ton of knitwear that I found very helpful as the cold weather set in, and I absolutely love it all. It’s hard to pick a favorite out of the three, but there is one that features the post – just. And if you’re window shopping right now, I’ve added some outfit formulas to add to your notes the next time you’re standing in front of your closet and don’t know where to start. Here are some ideas…

ONE DRESS
What’s cozier than knit, knit, knit?! I speak a knitted tank top + knitted trousers + cashmere jumper + cashmere jacket + Mary-Janes. It doesn’t always get cozier than that. Wearing this just feels like a great weekend outfit, like having brunch or hanging out with friends. Comfortable, yet oh-so-chic – the addition of a tailored jacket and shoes takes it to the next level. It was my first time trying Guest in Residence – the new NET-A-PORTER brand – and I currently have both items in the basket, so yes, I’m a fan! I Oversized Cashmere Jumper* felt like real butter, and Cashmere quilted jacket* was something I hadn’t seen before – half cardigan, half coat and layering piece which I think will come in very handy in the winter months. All beautifully designed and all 100% cashmere.

SECOND DRESS
Say you’re having a day where you’re ‘here, there and everywhere’ – this is what I’d recommend. For me that is a day of meetings in London. It’s only a short walk to the train and before you know it I’m in the hot zone, also known as the underground. And I don’t really get out much as I’m between the tubes and meeting places all day and I’m usually power walking to get from place to place. You get it – I’m warm! And carrying all your extra layers as you take off is not! So on those days I would recommend – sleeveless knit + medium weight coat + straight leg jeans + pointed boots. Your arms are covered but once you reach your destination you can cool off without melting. I really want to talk about AGOLDE 90’s Pinch Waist Long Jeans*. They are a good length to wear boots and have that KHAITE Danielle Jean* I feel, but I personally find the AGOLDE method more comfortable. Speaking of comfort – the Toteme Mid-Heel Boots*?! I walked 20,000 steps in them in New York and when I was driven to take them off at the end of the day, I still didn’t have a blister. They are very nice.

THE THIRD DRESS
This might be my favorite dress of the three, but this is a do-it-all dress. Wide-leg jeans with a pointed boot are a classy silhouette and the roll-neck makes a functional item to keep you toasty. Chunky roll-neck + belt + wide leg jeans + pointed boots – is a formula to add to your repertoire immediately. I’ve been looking for a pair of skinny jeans that fit my 5’7″ frame and these are it it. I AGOLDE Dame Jeans* they are nice and high on the waist and don’t have a big bag on the back. I’d recommend going a size or two smaller than you normally would depending on where you want it to sit on the hips (for a slight rise go one size down, or for more on the waist go down two sizes). And we can just take one second Toteme T-Lock bag*!? It fits easily in all the gear I pack for this and is big enough for everyday use without being unwieldy. I very much, a lot you are tempted to buy.
