Testing LED Light Therapy with CurrentBody

CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Mask review

I have been testing the LED Light Therapy Mask from CurrentBody and I love the convenience of being able to do this treatment at home! I’ve had a few LED treatments at skincare clinics in the past and I’ve loved the results. However being able to use the device at home is very easy and affordable. After testing a few items from the CurrentBody line I’m excited to share first impressions today.

With any type of skin care consistency and patience are essential. I’ve been using the LED Light Therapy Mask ($380) for 3 weeks and plan to share reviews with you throughout the year. I noticed subtle changes with consistent use. The skin has started to look and feel firmer and some of my sun spots have started to fade. I can’t wait to see the results and long term consistent use.

The CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Mask uses a combination of Red Light (633 nanometers) and Near-Infra-Red Light (830 nanometers). There are 56 lights evenly distributed to guide your entire face. Red light helps increase collagen production to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Near Infra-Red Light works with this to penetrate the skin at a deeper level to reduce inflammation, texture. Both work to help boost the skin’s renewal process and it’s something I talk about as I’m in my early 40s and have noticed changes in my skin and body this past year as I’ve aged.

The lights are bright but still safe for the eyes and I can wear a mask without glasses. The mask is made of flexible silicone. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear with a Velcro strap. It takes a few tries to fix the problem. They recommend doing a patch test on your arm first before trying it on your face. I had no irritation or any problems – you don’t even feel the heat from the bulbs on the skin. It is painless and there is no tingling.

Recommended use 3-5 times a week for 10 minutes. The power remote is timed to automatically turn off at the 10 minute mark. I use it on clean skin but I also tried one of my favorite Hydrogel Face Masks for hydration and skin softness. I definitely plan to order more!

CurrentBody also has an entire line of skin care and tools. They have a serum set called the Power of Four Skincare Set ($80) that has four serums to restore, add radiance, help fight aging and hydrate. So far I have tried and loved the Glow Serum which has a really nice hydrating feel to it.

I love skin rollers to help get rid of puffiness quickly and the CurrentBody Skin Cryo Roller ($35) is really good! It is made of stainless steel and has a really good cooling sensation. I struggle with morning puffiness and these types of rollers work wonders for me to help. This is one of the biggest ones I’ve tried and it’s great for covering large areas of the face.

I also really like Dr. Harris Anti-Wrinkle Sleep Mask ($79.99). It’s a silk fabric with raised dots designed to help your face relax to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I like that it blocks out the light and helps me sleep in the morning. Many items are available in bundles or sets with a price break so be sure to browse their Gifts & Sets section.
