So you’re looking for a new gaming chair, and everywhere you look, Secretlab is mentioned as one of the best options out there. While there are some questionable little models like the Secretalab Titan that are great chairs, the real question is, they deserve it?
In this post I share my honest opinion on whether Secretalab chairs are really worth the money they command.
Are SecretLab Chairs Worth It?
Let’s jump straight to my decision first. Overall, yes, I believe the Secretalab chairs are worth it, as I’ve tried over a dozen gaming chairs from all major gaming chair brands over the past two years. Having said that, I believe the elders Titan 2020 models give a better price than new Titan Evo 2022 based on build quality and current pricing structure.
Secretlab Gaming Chairs Costs related to Competition
The price of a gaming chair is perhaps the biggest factor in determining its worth. After all, at the end of the day it all comes down to what you get versus the cost. That being said, here are the current prices for all available Secretlab models:
Secretlab Titan Evo (2022)
| A small one | Common | XL |
| $499 | $499 | $549 |
Secrelab Titan 2020 version

| Omega | The Titan | Titan XL |
| $399 | $449 | $529 |
As you can see, prices range from $400 to $550 based on model and year.
If you go with the old plans of 2020, you can save on average about 10%.
Analysis: From a price point of view, Secretalab chairs are on the high end compared to other “A” class sports chairs on the market. These are the most desired, established brands with the most influence and reputation:
- DXRacer
- AndaSeat
- Razer
- VertaGear
- Respawn
- High chairs
- The Corsair
- AKRacing
- Herman Miller
Having said that, when you compare it is installed in the same way and has the same dimensions gaming chairs between Secretlab and those from other high-end brands, the cost in most cases is the same. For example:
Note: Prices taken on Dec 15 2021 before any promotions
If you look at the data, it dispels the myth that Secretlab chairs are more expensive relative to other “A” grade gaming chair vendors.
Secretlab Build Quality
This is where Secretalab gains most of its “worthiness” in my opinion- build quality and resale value.

The build quality of Secretalab Titan chairs is generally impeccable. These are chairs designed to last easily for 7 – 10 years. You can tell Secretlab has paid attention to every single part of the Titan to maximize longevity.
All major joints in the Titan seats are made of durable steel or aluminum, including the controls in the armrests. The PU leather on Titan seats lasts 12 times longer than regular PU leather. The cooling foam found inside the Titan seats is top quality, and should retain its shape for the life of the seat.
When I sold my Secretlab Titan 2020 to a friend after 2 years (due to the move), he thought the seat was new.
Features and Innovation
Another area that makes the Secretlab chairs worth it in my opinion is the number of new features you get. This is something I find very lacking in other types of gaming chairs.

The neck pillow on the Titan Evo for example attaches to the backrest with a magnet instead of a strap. Besides impressing your friends, this allows the pillow to be easily adjusted for height and to be removed with ease. It solves a big problem I have with regular outdoor neck pillows that are hard to get where I want them to be while they are sitting in place.
Another unique feature of the Titan seats is the company’s continued innovation in lumbar support. In Titan Evo, now both height and depth are adjustable despite being built into the backrest itself. For many people (myself included), it is superior in support and comfort to most gaming chair back cushions you can find in other premium gaming chairs.

And finally, the arm pads on the Titan Evo are interchangeable. This allows you to easily upgrade or replace them if they become obsolete. Consider the resale value.
Secretlab Warranty and Support
All Secretlab Titan chairs come with the following consumer warranty:
- 3 year warranty
- Option to extend the warranty to 5 years for an additional $50
- 49 day return policy. Buyer pays for return shipping.
Copy of Confidentiality Guarantee:

With a 3-year warranty, this is the most generous in the industry.
A copy of the Secretlab Return Policy:

Secretlab’s 49-day return policy also exceeds the industry standard turnaround time of 30 days.
For comparison, here is the consumer warranty offered by other brands of “A” list gaming chairs:
- DXRacer: 2-year warranty
- AndaSeat: 2-year warranty
- Razer: 3-year warranty
- VertaGear: 2 years
- Noblechairs: 2 years
- Corsair: 2 years
- AKRacing: 5 years
Titan Evo 2022 vs Titan 2020 – Which is More Important?
Even with the new Titan Evo 2022 edition coming out, Secretlab continues to make the old 2020 edition available on their website, for sale at a discount. So the question is, which one should you get?

I’ve tried both seats, and going by current prices, I’d say the older Titan 2020 offers the best value.
Here’s a breakdown of what each program beats the other based on my observations:
Titan Evo 2022 – What It Does Best
- A better strapless neck pillow with magnetic attachment
- Lumbar support is now adjustable in length
- Replaceable arm pads may come in handy in the future
- Higher resale value if you decide to sell in the future
Titan 2020 – What It Does Best
- Better build quality
- The seat cushions are thick
- Smooth landing method
- $50 cheaper
The main difference between the two systems is actually the build quality. The older version of the Titan 2020 is essentially flawless in this department. On the Titan Evo, I noticed little things like the reverse gear getting stuck sometimes, and the leatherette upholstery starting to wrinkle after a few months of use.
I should add that the Secretlab Titan Evo has just been released, and they may still be fixing some of the quality issues I mentioned earlier. In fact, Secretlab support told me when I contacted them that they are actually aware of these issues and will address them in future production.
Although, right now, you can get a cheaper and better built seat with less compromise in comfort in the Titan 2020 compared to the new Titan Evo. Unless you intend to resell your seat down the road, the former is the better deal in my opinion.
All Things Considered
At first glance, Secretalab chairs seem very expensive, even at the highest prices. However, when you start comparing it to other high-end sports seats, it quickly becomes clear that the company’s prices are within the industry’s range.
On the topic of whether Secretalab chairs are worth it, as mentioned earlier, I truly believe they are based on their good performance across the board: Build quality, features, comfort, and warranty / aftercare. Even their resale value is very good due to the way the seats wear and the excellent brand recognition. These are all factors that ultimately contribute to the high number of Secretlab seats.
