5 Gaming Chairs with the Most Adjustable Arms on the Market

The truth is, any talk of a good gaming chair should include highly adjustable seats that can support our upper limbs well in a variety of different positions. For gamers, strong habitats are very important as our hands work overtime to fend off enemy zombies in every corner.

In this guide, I’ll share my favorite armrest gaming chairs on the market that do an excellent job of supporting the arms. But first thing’s first.

What to Look for in Adjustable Seats for Gaming

Almost all sports seats come with armrests that are at least height adjustable. Beyond these basic fixes there are additional premium features to be had. In order of importance, the following are the top 4 features that you should look for in adjustable beds.

Armrests adjustable width

Arguably the most important item on your shopping list should be the width of the rest areas can be adjusted. This means the ability to move sleeping areas closer or further away from you laterally.

When you think about it, everyone’s shoulder width is different; the same depends on the distance between the armrests in different gaming chairs. There is nothing worse than armrests that force your elbows into an awkward position so you can fully rest on them because they are too close or too far apart. Widely adjustable armrests take care of this potentially very uncomfortable problem.

Variable weapon length

This refers to the armrests that slide forward and backward to increase the coverage of your arms in different sitting positions.

Many people who lean completely back or sit close to the edge of the seat find that the armrests on their seats can no longer provide enough coverage. This is where height adjustable seats can be very useful.

Pivot/ Angle Adjustable Armrests

Low on the priority list but still useful are arm rests that can slide in and out. If you regularly type on your phone or type on an undersized keyboard where your wrists are close together, armrests that swivel inward can provide better coverage for your arms in this area.

Lock in place

Last but not least, affordable housing should allow you to lock it any changes you make to the armrests, whether width, length or angle. To me there is nothing more annoying than sleepers that easily fall out of place after a bump or pull.

Lock-in-place is a feature usually found only in high-end sports seats.

Secretlab Titan Evo Review

Arguably the best gaming chair on the market it also has the best armrests. I’m talking about the Secretalab Titan series, whose armrests are as flexible and comfortable as you’ll find in a gaming chair.

For starters, the Titan’s seats are premium with a rubber surface that feels right at the elbows. In the new Titan Evo series, they’re also interchangeable, meaning you can replace them with a new set of arm pads down the road if they start to wear out. Since they are magnetically connected, changing them is not easy.

The armrests are fully 4D (height, length, width and angle adjustable), but that only tells part of the story. There is good movement in both the length and width directions, and any new surface is locked in place to prevent accidental movement.

In other words, these armrests are as good as I can see.

DXRacer AIR Review

The DXRacer AIR is a true world first all-mesh gaming seat, combining the aesthetics of a high-end racing car seat with breathable mesh upholstery. The adjustable armrests on the AIR come in a close second in quality to those on the Secretlab Titan.

In our review of the DXRacer AIR, we found a lot to like about the gaming chair. The futuristic design looks a lot like it belongs on the deck of the Millennium Falcon. The adjustable headrest and lumbar support are a nice step up from the standard outdoor pillows found in other gaming chairs. And the mesh upholstery? Let’s just say it proved its worth in temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius when I tested it in Asia.

As for the adjustable seats, we’re happy to report they’re also stellar on the DXRacer AIR. As in the Secretlab Titan, they are 4D, and can be locked in different areas. In fact, it looks like DXRacer basically copied the design of the Secretlab housings here. And that’s a good thing for the consumer.

AKRacing Masters Premium Review

The AKRacing Masters Series is AKRacing’s premier racing series. When it comes to build quality and overall comfort, the company is one of the most consistent we’ve come across. All of their chairs are designed and manufactured in-house (not imported).

Compared to the AKRacing Core SX that we reviewed last year, the Masters Masters Premium model comes with a firmer multi-tilt system, thicker cushions, and yes, firmer 4D seats. The seat uses a 4.25” thick cushioned foam inside that ensures it won’t sag even with heavy use, unlike cheap memory foam sports seats.

The Master Premium seats are almost the same size as those found on the Secretlab Titan. They are also fitted equally well, wrapping your elbows nicely. They go in all directions – left / right, back / forward, and near / far. The biggest caveat is that there are no controls to close their new positions in place.

GTRACING Big and Tall review

GTracing is best known for its popular budget sports chair called the GT099. That doesn’t mean the company can’t produce something of high quality though. Meet the GTRacing Big and Tall, a true mid-range gaming chair with excellent build quality, comfort, and 4D adjustable seats for its price.

The first thing you will notice when you sit in this model is that there are no annoying annoying noises. The metal base and excellent fitment all contribute to solid, noise-free entertainment.

Unlike the cheaper GT099 model, the foam padding on the Big and Tall edition is much denser and thicker. This should add at least 3-4 years to the lifespan of the chair. The company advertises the chair as suitable for people up to 400 lbs.

One of the things I love about GTRacing seats is how far you can recline the backrest on all their models. This is also true of the Big and Tall model, where the reclining mechanism allows you to recline all the way to 170 degrees for a near-sleeping experience.

Let’s talk about the armrests on the GTRacing Big and Tall now. They are the strongest of all the GTRacing models, they are 4D, they are relatively comfortable, and they can be slightly locked in place with some adjustments.

DXRacer K Series Review

Finally, there’s the DXRacer K Series, another high-end gaming chair with very sturdy adjustable armrests. What’s unique about the K Series is that it’s also modular, allowing you to change or add parts to the chair as needed.

As a modular chair, there are several accessories that can be added to the chair. This includes a lower seat, a cup holder, and multi-functional brackets that are strong enough to support a laptop. The fixed seat cushion can also be removed and replaced if needed.

Like a high-end gaming chair, you can also expect a set of highly adjustable seats. They are 4D in nature, and support locking in some positions (but not all).
