You want to know. While I firmly believe that proper preventative measures are always the most important step in bear-infested areas (duh …), the idea of a simple bear fence is at least … curious. Although the option to set up a perimeter is one that I have seen before (although I can’t guarantee that it works well), I would have a lot of fear around my safety regarding the option that is attached directly to the tent. The shock might work in the rare situation where a bear wanders into your tent, but the shock would be unusual if it came unexpectedly due to my roll or arm swing.
